Our Mother of Sorrows and Holy Cross will be offering an Altar Server Camp on August 5th and 6th at Our Mother of Sorrows Church. This camp is for training new and current servers, as well as to build teamwork and leadership within the server teams. The camp will run from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM each day and will consist of classroom and hands-on sessions with priests, seminarians, and dedicated volunteers of our parish communities. There will be a special hour of Adoration on Tuesday and Mass on Wednesday for any servers and their parents.
We are seeking new Alter Servers, and this camp would be an ideal opportunity for anyone interested in joining. To be an Altar Server, a child must have received First Communion and be a regular attendee of either Our Mother of Sorrows or Holy Cross.
Altar Servers are a key component of the liturgical life of our church, and I encourage any child who is interested in attending our program and serving at Mass to give it a try. As the principal catechists of your children, you, the parents, continue to lead your loved ones closer to Christ, we hope to offer this opportunity as a way of assisting in your mission.

All Volunteers and Staff Assisting with Server Camp are CASE Trained in Accordance with DOR Policy.
