1st Communion

Sacraments are joyous celebrations of your child’s relationship with Jesus! Weekly Mass attendance is an essential part of your family’s faith journey!

  • Children prepare and receive sacraments at their home parish where their family is registered and attend Mass.
  • Children are to be enrolled in either a Faith Formation program or a Catholic School.
  • If your child is not enrolled at Catholic School or Religious Education, you are invited to register today for our Faith Formation program. This way we can help your child to “catch up” and to be ready to start preparation for Sacraments next school year!
  • Children do not prepare for the Sacraments in their Catholic School classroom or Religious Education classroom.
  • Instead, the child accompanied by a parent or guardian attends sacrament meetings held in the evenings and/or weekends.
  • Children receive textbooks, activities, and handouts as a resource to complete with parents or guardians.
  • Children 2nd grade or older may be ready to prepare for:
  • First Penance (also known as First Reconciliation)
  • First Eucharist (also known as First Communion)
  • Preparation for First Penance must be completed before preparing for First Eucharist.

For more information or to register your child, please contact   or Maura.Spence. We look forward to preparing with you and your family during this special holy time! (keep this currently on 1st communion page)
